Plitvice Lakes National Park

The oldest National Park in Croatia, Plitvice Lakes National Park, is truly an amazing place. Limestone rocks, chalk, and travertine create natural dams and barriers, forming a breathtaking series of lakes, waterfalls, and pools. The clear water and limestone create some magical blue waters. Looking nearly artificial in their brightness. The water is so clear and the fish so close you could reach out and touch them. But don’t they are protected as is the whole natural park. While busy with fellow tourists, it still was a relaxing, enjoyable day. If you are fortunate enough to visit Croatia, it should be on your to-do list. Our guide Max was knowledgeable and hard working. We used Huck Finn Tours and would recommend them.
