Croatia is a fabulous country. Other than Dubrovnik, and Plitvice Lakes National Park, much of the country did not seem to be on everyone’s travel radar. That is changing as people see the beautiful islands, the ancient cities, taste the fresh food and drink the local wines. Unfortunately, we did not make it to Split, but it and the many islands off the coast are highly recommended by other travelers.
